Know your possible colleges in Maharashtra
Enter your AIAPGET All India Rank and seat categories to see the seats that went to a similar rank. This is based on last year’s data: the state quota selection lists of the 2025 Maharashtra counselling, all rounds together.
How to read the results
The closing rank is the AIAPGET All India Rank of the last candidate who held that seat in the 2025 Maharashtra state quota counselling, in any round. Your rank is compared with it.
- High
- Your rank is at least 20% better than the closing rank.
- Good
- Your rank is within the closing rank, with a smaller margin.
- Borderline
- Your rank is past the closing rank by up to 10% (or 20 ranks).
- Low
- Your rank is past the closing rank by up to 30% (or 60 ranks).
Seats further out than that are not listed.
- State quota
- Seats for Maharashtra candidates in government, government-aided and private colleges, with category reservation.
- Institutional quota
- 15% of the seats of a private college. Open to eligible candidates from Maharashtra and from any other state, with no category reservation.
- Minority quota
- Seats of the two government-aided minority colleges, kept for candidates of the college’s own minority: Hindi-linguistic at Smt. K.G. Mittal, Mumbai, and Jain at Seth Govindji Raoji, Solapur.
- In-service
- Seats in government and aided colleges for medical officers in state service. They are ranked with grace marks for their service, so these closing ranks do not carry over to other candidates.
- Persons with disability
- Seats in government and aided colleges kept for candidates with a benchmark disability.
In-service seats and seats for persons with disability are shown in the cutoffs and never counted in a prediction.
- Open seats are for everyone, so most candidates keep Open ticked. A candidate with no reserved category ticks Open only.
- OBC, SEBC, SC, ST, VJ-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D and EWS seats go only to candidates of that category, so tick your own as well: an NT-C candidate ticks Open and NT-C. These categories are for candidates recognised as such by the State of Maharashtra, with the caste, validity and non-creamy-layer certificates the brochure asks for.
- Institutional quota seats are not reserved. They are counted whenever Open is ticked.
- Tick a minority option only if you can claim that minority quota. Hindi-linguistic minority seats are at Smt. K.G. Mittal Punarvasu Ayurved College, Mumbai, and Jain minority seats at Seth Govindji Raoji Ayurved College, Solapur.
- A Maharashtra candidate is one who passed BAMS from a college in Maharashtra, or is domiciled in the state. If you are neither, tick the last option: only institutional quota seats are counted, and Maharashtra candidates compete for those too.
If seats in more than one of your categories exist for the same course and seat type, the one that closed later is shown.
- It is one year of results, not a forecast. Seats, applicants and their preferences change every year.
- Many seats here had a single place on offer, so a closing rank is often one candidate’s rank. Treat it as a guide.
- The four CAP rounds and the two stray vacancy rounds are taken together, so a closing rank can come from a later round. A seat given up in one round is allotted again in the next, which is why the cutoffs can show more candidates against a seat than it has places: each candidate who held it is counted, including those who later moved up or left.
- A reserved-category candidate who gets an Open seat on merit can be counted in their own category instead, and an Open seat is then earmarked for that category. An earmarked seat is counted here under the category it was earmarked for.
- Seats kept for persons with disability, orphans and in-service officers that nobody claimed were given to other candidates from Round 3, as were unclaimed SEBC, EWS and ST seats. Each is counted under the category it was then given in. All India quota seats that were surrendered to the state from Round 4 are counted as state quota seats.
- In private colleges the reservation for SC, ST, VJ-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D and OBC is half of what it is in government and aided colleges, so fewer reserved seats exist there.
- It covers the state quota lists only. The All India quota seats of government colleges are filled by central counselling, and those of aided and private colleges by a separate All India quota counselling of the CET Cell that is not part of this data.
