How to read the results
The closing rank is the AIAPGET All India Rank of the last candidate allotted that seat in the 2025 UP counselling, in any round. Your rank is compared with it.
- High
- Your rank is at least 20% better than the closing rank.
- Good
- Your rank is within the closing rank, with a smaller margin.
- Borderline
- Your rank is past the closing rank by up to 10% (or 20 ranks).
- Low
- Your rank is past the closing rank by up to 30% (or 60 ranks).
Seats further out than that are not listed.
- Government college
- State quota seats in government colleges, with category reservation.
- Private college
- State quota seats in private colleges. All of them are Open; none is reserved.
- Private, All India quota
- The All India quota seats of private colleges, which the UP lists print as “AQ”. They carry no category, and in 2025 were allotted in Rounds 1 and 2 only.
- Open (unreserved) seats are for everyone, so most candidates keep Open ticked. A candidate with no reserved category ticks Open only.
- OBC, SC, ST and EWS seats go only to candidates of that category, so tick your own as well: an OBC candidate ticks Open and OBC. In 2025 only the government colleges had reserved seats.
- Every seat in a private college, state quota or All India quota, was Open. They are counted whenever Open is ticked.
- This page does not check who may take a state quota seat. Whether you need to be from Uttar Pradesh, or to have passed BAMS there, is set by the state’s government order for the year; read it before counting on a seat, a government college seat above all.

- It is one year of results, not a forecast. Seats, applicants and their preferences change every year.
- Many seats here had a single place on offer, so a closing rank is often one candidate’s rank. Treat it as a guide.
- The rounds are taken together, so a closing rank can come from a later round. A seat given up in one round is allotted again in the next, which is why the cutoffs can show more candidates against a seat than it has places: each candidate allotted it is counted, including those who later moved up or did not join.
- A stray vacancy round followed Round 3 for the seats still empty. Its list is not part of this data, so a seat filled only then may have gone to a later rank than is shown here.
- The 20 seats at Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University, Gorakhpur were allotted on their own, in an additional stray vacancy round on 29 Jan 2026, well after the other rounds. Their closing ranks come from that one list.
- One government college seat is printed in the lists as “URPW” and went to rank 13,633, far beyond the Open seats around it. It is a seat of a special class, so it is shown in the cutoffs as “Open (URPW)” and never counted in a prediction.
- It covers Ayurveda seats filled by the UP state counselling only. The All India Quota seats of the government colleges, and Banaras Hindu University, are filled by central counselling.

The lists of Rounds 1 to 3 were read from the official PDFs and read again by two other PDF readers, and every seat a candidate left to move up was checked against the seat they had been allotted before. The list of the additional stray vacancy round was read by eye from a picture of the official list, because its PDF was not at hand; its rows could not be checked by machine.
